Lagos Study Centre reached out to Victoria Island Residents for advocacy activities

 The Lagos Study Centre has reached out to the Victoria Island residents as part of its series of advocacy activities in order to promote and bring the open and Distance Learning (ODL) style of education to every door all over Nigeria.

The director of Lagos Study  Centre, Dr. Alero Akujobi and the advocacy team visited the island on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, when the walk started from the gate of the study centre to Adetokunbo Ademola Street, and stretched to Eko Hotel area.

The team took to the streets to educate residents and onlookers about the university's methods of operation, entrance requirements, and the fact that it is affordable and welcoming to everyone who wants to learn.

The director, in reaction to one of the questions raised during the walk, explained how students would run their programme concurrently with whatever they were doing.

Prospective students were told of how learning in the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) transcends all barriers as staff do not embark on industrial actions akin to what happens at the conventional universities, thereby causing students and parents to have low-trust in the educational system.

On their part, the staff of the centre busied themselves with the distribution of leaflets to residents and onlookers as part of the attractive road walk.
